ALL of the Harwich Society’s visitor attractions will be open free on charge during the National Trust’s ‘Heritage Open Days’ this month.
The Harwich Society is a great supporter of the National Trust’s ‘Heritage Open Days’, the largest English history and culture festival, and so all of its visitor attractions will be open free of charge over the weekend of Saturday September 14 and Sunday September 15.
The Harwich Society visitor attractions open free of charge include:
- Christopher Jones’ house open Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm
- Foresters open Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm
- Maritime Museum open Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm
- Lifeboat Museum open Saturday only 11am to 3pm
- High Lighthouse open Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm
- Radar Tower open Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm
- Redoubt Fort open Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm
- Treadwheel Crane open Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm
- Ha’penny Pier Visitor Centre open Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm
- Bobbit’s Hole nature reserve open Sunday only 10 am to noon
A free walking tour of Historic Harwich will leave the Ha’penny Pier visitor centre on the Saturday afternoon at 2pm and will last approximately 90 minutes.
