A FREE launch event for a new community group in Harwich will take place this weekend - with live music, pottery upcycling and drum circle taster sessions included.
Harwich Space is a new cultural and community resource and hub, for existing groups such as the Harwich Ukraine Support Projects and Food for Thought community kitchen.
Harwich Space will work to provide a range of 'lost skills' courses for people in the community as well as other initiatives - and is looking for new members.
The launch event is on Saturday, August 31, from noon to 4pm at Stour Road, and there will be free food for everyone which will be served until it is gone.
Events include drum circle taster sessions, a chance to shop preloved and upcycled furniture, a re-worked pottery and art upcycling session, and live music.
There is also a nature club crafts event for children.
Also at the hub is an outdoor exhibition of graffiti art by local artist Aromaone.
