VOLUNTEERS are needed to help promote the Harwich Festival as the town's library moves to the Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre this month.
The Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre (HAHC), on Main Road, will be the new home of the Harwich Library from September 26 as the library on Upper Kingsway undergoes a refurbishment.
The HAHC are looking for volunteers to help run the Harwich Festival box office – an office in the building which deals with enquiries – on certain days of the week.
Duties include greeting HAHC visitors, dealing with basic enquiries, simple admin which does not require a computer, and to help promote the Harwich Festival to HAHC and library visitors.
Volunteers can work on their own creative projects while at the box office, which is open from 10am to 4pm, with shifts from 10am to 1pm and 1pm to 4pm.
