MANNINGTREE young performers have been invited to join a multi-platinum selling vocal quartet as part of their Christmas tour.

Students from the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) Manningtree have been selected to perform alongside male vocal troupe G4.

G4, named where the four original members meet at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, are known for coming second on the first season of ITV in 2004 as well as for their operatic delivery of pop music.

The performance will take place at the Royal Hospital School (RHS) Chapel in Holbrook on December 15 with PQA Manningtree students performing "Sleigh Ride" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.".

While G4 will perform carols such as "O Holy Night," "Silent Night," and "Walking in the Air” and will also be visiting over 20 cathedrals across the UK this November and December.

Gemma Naylor Head, Principal of PQA Manningtree, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be invited to join G4 for their Christmas tour.

“This is a unique opportunity for our students to perform at such an esteemed event, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication. 

PQA Manningtree is also welcoming those aged 6-18 to join now to be part of the December performance.
