A new senior marine operations manager has been appointed by Harwich Haven Authority.
Busayo Afolabi will take on the newly created role, managing the vessel traffic services team, developing commercial opportunities for marine services, managing marine assets, and leading organisational training for the marine department.
Mr Afolabi said: "I am honoured to join Harwich Haven Authority and look forward to the opportunity to collaborate closely with the team in upholding the highest standards of navigation and operational efficiency, supporting our shared vision of enhancing safe, efficient navigation and strengthening marine operations within our harbour.
"Together, I am confident we can build on the authority's legacy and drive continued innovation in service to our maritime community."
Mr Afolabi, a certified master mariner, has more than 15 years of experience in the maritime sector.
He is an associate fellow of the Nautical Institute, a member of the UK Harbour Masters Association, and holds an MBA in international maritime management.
