WORKS are well and truly underway for a new Harwich retail park with buildings already popping up.
The Harwich retail park is being developed as part of a £7million project.
Burney Estates was given permission to build the 68-bed hotel, two drive-through restaurants, ten business units and a 283-space car park at Stanton Europark, Parkeston last year.
When completed, the retail park will have a Travelodge, Starbucks, KFC, Howdens and Screwfix, all coming for Summer 2025.
With the Starbucks drive-thru already being built, it is expected the rest will follow closely behind as the Summer 2025 deadline edges closer.
Travelodge have already confirmed it will be constructing a new hotel in Harwich, with construction on the development having commenced.
As for Burger King, the opening date is yet to be confirmed, but the new store will create 23 jobs for the area with applications currently open for two assistant manager roles.
The six-acre site which will be accessed from Freshfields Road, sits directly behind the Morrisons supermarket.
