A man from Dovercourt has been charged following an investigation into a series of vehicle crimes in the Harwich area.
Essex Police have been looking into a number of thefts of vehicles, thefts from vehicles and attempts to get into vehicles between July 16 and October 21.
Following the investigation, Joseph Waters, 34, of Cliff Road, has been arrested.
In a statement, an Essex Police spokesman said: “He has now been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of theft from a vehicle, and fraud by false representation.
“He is next due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on November 29.”
Police also confirmed that a 21-year-old woman from Harwich has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a vehicle, theft of a vehicle, and interfering with a vehicle.
The woman has been released on bail until January 6.
