A double-decker bus ploughed into the railway bridge at Manningtree Railway Station this morning.
The Carters Coach Services bus hit the bridge, which is nine and a half feet tall, on the A137 shortly after 9am. The top deck suffered extensive damage.
The bus was not carrying any passengers at the time of the collision.
The driver was treated at the scene for shock but was not seriously injured.
